EA Sports Academy was born out of one man's passion for the game and a mission to give young athletes what he never had — a real pathway to the next level, on the field and in life.
"Football gave me everything. Now it's my turn to give it back."
EA Sports Academy exists because Jermaine Edmondson refused to accept the status quo. After competing at Michigan State and winning three Big Ten Championships, he came home and saw the same thing over and over: talented kids with no real structure, no elite coaching, and no clear path forward.
So he built one. EA Sports Academy isn't just a program — it's a movement. A commitment to developing athletes who are ready for the next level, whatever that looks like for them. High school. College. Beyond.
Every session, every drill, every rep is designed with one purpose: to develop complete athletes — not just players.
Jermaine Edmondson didn't build EA Sports Academy to run a camp. He built it to change trajectories. Growing up, he understood that talent alone doesn't open doors — structure, coaching, and belief do. The opportunity to receive elite training shouldn't depend on where you grow up or who you know.
After his playing career took him from East Lansing to competing at the highest level of college football, Jermaine returned with a singular focus: build the program he wished had existed. One with real elite-level coaching, real competitive standards, and a real commitment to every athlete who walks through the door.
Flag football is the fastest-growing sport in America — and it's going global. The athletes who train at the elite level now are the ones who will define the sport's next chapter. That's the opportunity EA Sports Academy exists to provide.
Our coaches didn't study football from the sideline — they lived it at the highest levels. Every session is led by athletes who competed in the NFL and CFL and now dedicate themselves to developing the next generation.
Jermaine Edmondson is a former Division I football athlete, elite competitor, and performance-driven coach who has dedicated his post-playing career to developing the next generation of athletes. A graduate of Michigan State University, Edmondson was a full-ride scholarship athlete from 2012–2016, earning recognition as a Rose Bowl Champion, Cotton Bowl Champion, and three-time Big Ten Champion.
After his playing career, Jermaine channeled his experience at the highest levels of football into building EA Sports Academy — a premier development program built on structure, discipline, and competition. His approach is simple: train athletes the way he was trained, with the same standards he was held to at the Division I level. Jermaine's background in both elite athletics and program building gives him a unique ability to connect with athletes on and off the field — pushing them to discover what they're truly capable of.
